May Events!!

May is a busy month around our house!  It marks the beginning of summer, Mother's Day, PaPaw's Birthday, Kyle's Birthday and the Dover Annual Bocce Tournament!  All of our Mother's Day festivities were in an earlier blog so I won't bore you with those again. 

PaPaw's birthday was celebrated at Eischen's (best fried chicken ever).  We all ate a lot and had a great time! 

Kyle's birthday was celebrated at the annual bocce tournament, at home on the stormiest day of the year (Tornado Apocalypse 2011) and date night to see Hangover 2!!  Kyle got so many awesome gifts this year including a new OU Tent Canopy that will be used all of the time, a cool new Wooden standing ice chest for our patio, some new shorts and a new shirt, new OU Heisman coasters and a Thunder shirt!  Somebody likes him!

The Second Annual Dover Bocce Tournament was a success!  There was yummy food and drinks to be had, a lot of bocce playing, some Thunder watching and many other fun and games going on!  There were 15 teams of 2 playing and a lot more in attendance!  It was a beautiful day and a perfect setting for the bocce tournament.  Although some may speculate cheating, there were close eyes on the court to ensure no cheating, and Kyle's team of he and Luke won the tournament!  Apryl and Jessica's (originally Jaycee) team fought hard at 2nd place.  The tournament didn't end until 1 am so many of us dropped out to sleep well before!

The best part of May for me is it begins summer!  I love summer!  Let the fun begin!
